Business coaching event set for July 21

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Looking to take your food and beverage business to the next level? Then the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Speed Coaching Event in Cleveland is meant for you.

The event is set for 6 to 8:30 p.m., July 21, at ECDI Cleveland, 2800 Euclid Ave., and will include individual 20-minute sessions with Samuel Adams employees and local business experts, networking opportunities and tips on marketing, packaging, financing and more.

Local investors acquire Pantek Inc.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - A local group of investors on July 1 acquired a majority of Pantek Inc. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

The investor group consists of tech executives and entrepreneurs including Michael Fischer, who became the new CEO, Tony Pietrocola, Michael DeAloia and John Farrall. DeAloia writes a tech column for the Plain Dealer.

Pantek was formed by Richard Zack, while a teenager, in 1994 as an Internet Service Provider. In 2007, Richard sold the company to his father Barry Zack, who is being retained as interim COO. The company specializes in cloud data hosting and Linux consulting services. The company has clients in all 50 states and in 41 countries.

Jakprints expands to West Coast

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Jakprints Inc., a custom printing company based in Cleveland, has taken its traditional screen-printing and advanced digital garment printing technologies out west. The company recently opened a second facility in Oceanside, California, according to a press release.

Jakprints has produced eco-friendly custom products for West Coast brands such as Google, Nickelodeon, Viacom and more since it was founded in 1999.

Production at the Oceanside facility will include screen-printing services, as well as fulfillment for streetwear and fashion brands. Jakprints also produces merchandise for musical artists, bands and record labels.
