BROOK PARK, Ohio -- NASA Glenn Research Center has awarded an $18.2 million contract to build a central office building on its Brook Park campus.
Northstar Contracting Inc. of North Olmsted recently won the contract to build the three-story, 93,000-square-foot steel structure, the Glenn center reported.
The building will house 300 workers and feature open work areas, a conference room and a 400-seat auditorium.
The building is described as the "flagship" in a 20-year master plan to consolidate and renew the Glenn center's World War II-era campus.
The project is scheduled for completion in February 2012. Northstar Contracting, a small, minority-owned business, will subcontract work to Marous Brothers Construction in Willoughby, NASA Glenn reported.
