The Massillon store opening this month will be followed by other locations in Canton, North Olmsted, South Euclid and Mayfield Heights.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Mattress Firm Inc., a bedding retailer out of Houston, is seeking to hire 15 to 20 employees for seven new stores opening in Northeast Ohio, starting with a Massillon store opening this Friday.
Mattress Firm is hiring sales associates, store managers, and warehouse workers, or about two or three employees per store. Candidates can apply at mattressfirm.com/careers.
One of the nation's largest mattress and bedding retailers, Mattress Firm has more than 1,000 stores, including 43 stores in 25 cities in Ohio. But its stores are in other parts of the state, including Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and Toledo.
The first Cleveland-area store will be at 46 Massillon Marketplace Drive, S.W. That will be followed by two stores in Canton, one in North Olmsted, one in South Euclid and two in Mayfield Heights. All seven stores are expected to be open by mid-November.
"Our goal is to make the experience of shopping for a new mattress as simple and rewarding a process as possible," said Steve Stagner, Mattress Firm's chief executive, in a statement.
Mattress Firm carries more than 55 models of mattresses, including leading brands such as Sealy, Serta, Simmons and Tempur-Pedic. Its mattresses are organized around an "Comfort by Color" concept: yellow for firm; orange for plush; red for pillow top; green for contoured; and blue for personalized.
The Canton stores, at 4325 W. Tuscawaras St., and at 4471 Belden Village, both open in mid-September.
The North Olmsted store, at 4647 Great Northern Blvd., opens in mid-October.
The South Euclid store, at 13991 Cedar Road, opens in mid-October.
And the Mayfield Heights stores, at 6510 Mayfield Rd., opens at in late October or early November, and at 1475 Lander Rd., opens in early November.
The new stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 12 noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
